About Me

Originally from the Bahamas, I came to Canada and attained my Bachelors degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Development.

Featured Projects

Delivr

Technology Used - Swift, SwiftUI, SwiftyJSON, Aftership

Delivr was built as my final year project during my Bachelor of CS. Originally starting out as a fun project to teach myself Swift, Delivr ended up being made into a full-fledged app.

With the ability to add packages from all the major carriers throughout Canada, Delivr provides the functionality to track a users package throughout the country. By integrating Delivr with Apple Maps, the app allows each user to see the exact route their package took while in transit by showcasing the most recent update from each location the package has been.

Boasting a beautiful design inspired by Apples' own stock apps such as Mail, Delivr comes as close to a stock package tracking app as possible.

3rDiQR

3rDi QR

Technology Used - React Native

A short project done for 3rDi Lab to port over their Android app to iOS

Starting off with no knowledge of React Native this project introduced me to their codebase and the basic tools used for porting apps to iOS.

After completing the port I was put in charge of the iOS Developer account, and published the app on the App Store and pushed a minor version update to address some bugs.

3rDi VR

Technology Used - React Native

A unique app to view 3rDi Labs' Virtual Reality Experiences.

I implemented the ability to view 3rDi VR experiences on iOS devices and like 3rDiQR, released 3rDi VR on the appstore. I was also responsible for providing maintenance and support to the app at 3rDi.

Aliv Parse

Aliv Parse

Technology Used - Python, Django, HTML, CSS, Heroku, AWS

A website used to parse out license data built for Aliv Telecomunications.

During my second summer working for Aliv I was tasked with building an internal tool to parse licenses. When I received this project I went through the process of gathering all of the functionality required by the engineering team. I also took the opportunity to learn the web framework Django, as it allows for python to be easily used on the backend to parse out the data.

I took what would usually be a 4-5 hour job of pasting license data into an excel document, to a job that could be done in less than 1 hour, increasing the team's ability for productivity and efficiency.

Liquor Locator Dark

Liquor Locator

Technology Used - Java, Springboot, Maven, Couchbase, SCSS, Vaadin

A group project done to show the location of all establishments with a valid liquor license in Nova Scotia. Using this searchable database, a user can find a place by name, or by establishment type (clubs, pubs, restaurant, etc.).

My main role in this project was to be the head UI designer. I was responsible for creating all related design documents, creating mockups for prototyping, implementing our main UI, and implementing a dark mode for night-time users.

Having never used SCSS or Vaadin before I got to learn how to use mixins to create dynamic themes for the site.
